Mr. Charles Clifton Streat, 72, of Jacksonville, Florida formerly of Nicholls passed away suddenly October 4, 2022 at his residence after a brief illness.

He was born August 13, 1950 to the late Alvin C. "A. C." Streat & Odessa Bagley Streat. He was born in Nicholls, Georgia where he attended and graduated Nicholls High School.

He made Jacksonville his home where he worked for CSX Railroad Corporation until his retirement after 40 years of service. He was a member of West Jacksonville Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Charles Devin Streat and father-in-law,  Billy Meeks. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Debbie Meeks Streat; a daughter, Cameron Morrow, husband Scott; daughter-in-law, Stacey Rawl, husband Ryan; four grandchildren, Kate & Elle Morrow, Bryce Streat and Olivia Rawl; four brothers, Dewayne Streat, wife Betty Jo, Roger Streat, wife Laverne & Wade Streat, wife Audrey of Nicholls and Michael Streat, wife Kathy of Blackshear; two sisters, Wanda Atkinson of Douglas and Rene Murray of Alma; mother-in-law, Jean Crosby Meeks; sister-in law, Rhonda Smith, husband Kevin all of Jacksonville; brother-in-laws, Bill Meeks, wife Tonya of Waycross & Merritt Meeks, wife Amanda of Blackshear and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM West Jacksonville Baptist Church 5634 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, Florida 32205. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 AM until funeral time. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 PM at Meeks Cemetery in Nicholls, Georgia.
