Charles Wildes, age 71, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025, after a short illness. He was born in Bacon County on March 04, 1954, to the late Lester Wildes and Genell Meeks Wildes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Pam Cartledge.

He retired from GATX after a long career.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol Boatright Wildes; aunts, Oweda Faye Taylor and Carolyn Ivey.

A graveside will be held Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 3:30 P.M. at Pine Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Trent Long and Rev. Adam Walker officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the cemetery from 2:30 P.M. until service time.

Active pallbearers include Chad Smith, Chris McQuaig, Ethan Boatright, Paul Nelson, III, and Zach Beasley.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House Satilla, 811 Beacon St, Waycross, GA. 31501.
