Christine Taylor Melton, age 93, of Alma passed away September 8, 2024 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. She was daughter of the late Charlie Taylor and Emma Taylor. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roger Melton, son, Ivey Jackson Hayes, brother, W. F. "Dub" Taylor and sister, Bonnie Hilton Murphy.

Mrs. Melton was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Janet Lynn Melton, sister-in-law, Louise Taylor and nieces and nephews, Marie Crews (Jessie), Michael Taylor (Naomi), Kenny Murphy and Margaret Ann Murphy.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Miles officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1:00 PM until service time.

Mrs. Melton will be laid to rest at the Garden of Memories in Winnfield, Louisiana at a later date.
