Cindy Lou Stottlemire, age 66, of Nicholls passed away April 22, 2026, at Community Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida after an extended illness. She was born November 24, 1959, in Clarksburg, West Virginia to Donald Lee Newbrough and Phyllis Scritchfield Newbrough.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Allen Stottlemire. Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Clifford Allen Stottlemire; son, Harold Lewis Newbrough (Deedee)of Dixie Union; daughter, Stacie Corbitt (Albert) of Waycross; brothers, Eddie Newbrough and Bruce Newbrough both of West Virginia; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and ex-son-in-law, Robert Emmons of Nicholls.

Graveside services will be held Monday, April 27, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Mark Summers officiating. The family will be receiving friends at Liberty Church Cemetery from 1:00 PM until service time.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
