Clara Mae Lee, age 72, of Alma died Wednesday October 28th, 2015 at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Jacksonville after a short illness. She was a native of Coffee County and had been a resident of Twin Oaks Nursing Home the past 3 years. Clara was daughter of the late George Washington (G W) Knowles and Maggie Spell Knowles and was preceded in death by her husband Quitman Lee, a sister Christine Waters and a niece Diane Parker. Clara worked with Streats Garments in Nicholls for many years and was a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church in Ware County.
Survivors include a son Jimmy Landon Lee (Karen Davis) of Valdosta, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Billy and LeVan Lee of Bickley, Maxell and Vivian Smith of Douglas, Cindy Lee of Alma and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Pet Hayes and Rev. David Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Bickley. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 9 P M.
Active pallbearers will be, Mackie and Danny Smith, Geoffrey Lee, Austin Johnson, Scott Manning and Randall Bennett. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
