Clarence "Bug" Tanner, Jr., age 77, of Melbourne, Florida passed away Saturday, December 3rd at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, Georgia after an extended illness. He was a native of Axon, Georgia but had lived in Florida for many years. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Tanner, Sr. and Lucy Doll Kirkland Tanner, his wife Fannie Joyce Taylor Tanner and a brother Gene Tanner.
Survivors include two children, Johnnie Ray Tanner and wife Susan of Cumming, GA. and Sherri Ann Tanner Young and husband Carl of Melbourne, FL., one brother, Larry Tanner and wife Margaret of Cumming, GA., four grandchildren, Jon Tanner, Corey Tanner, Carl Young, Jr. and Cody Young; also three great-grandchildren, Dillon, Viktor and Jazmin Tanner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10th at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Young, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Campground Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends 10:00 AM until funeral time Saturday.
Active pallbearers will be; Carl Young, Jr., Cody Young, Eddie Tanner, Lon Tanner, Mike and Glynn Taylor. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
