Obituary

Cleo N. Cothern, age 95, of Lumber City died at the Jeff Davis County Hospital Tuesday June 23rd, 2015 after a short illness. She was a native of Wayne County but had lived in Alma, Jacksonville, FL for many years and in Lumber City the past 13 years. She was daughter of the late Quincy Newman and Rushie Norris Letein and was also preceded in death by her husband Cecil Cothern, two sons-in-law, Lewis Sowell and Larry Lee. Cleo was a member of the Lumber City Church of God.

Survivors include three daughters, Yvonne Sowell of Jacksonville, FL, Addie Smith (Robert) of Jacksonville and Mary Lee of Lumber City. Also 14 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 47 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 27th at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. David Deen officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 8 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Zackery Rock, Timmy Lee, Ryan Smith, Walker Lee, Tristen Rigdon and Wayne Sowell. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
