Colvin Fernell Yougblood age 63 of Alma, Ga. died Sunday May 5th, 2013 at Satilla Hospice House in Waycross, Ga. after an extended illness. Colvin was a native of Bacon County, a carpenter and served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. Colvin was preceded in death by his parents John Franklin Youngblood and Blanch Thigpen, two brothers Earl and Gary Youngblood, and his stepmother Norine Youngblood.
Colvin is survived by his wife Cathy Youngblood, three daughters, Lisa Lawrence (Danny) of Waycross, Serena Outler (Arthur) and March Clifton of Alma, two brothers Harold Thomas of Nicholls and Tim Youngblood (Beth) of Alma, two sisters, Diane Anderson (Lee) of Waycross and Sharon Overstreet (Terry) of Baxley, four grandchildren, Mercedes Giddens, Khloe Pearson, Matthew and Corbin Lawrence, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 7th at 4 PM at the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with interment following in the Moore Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends on Monday night from 6 until 8 PM at Crosby Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Arthur Outler, Danny Lawrence, Matthew Lawrence, Marty Thomas, Brian Boatright, and Ethan Boatright. Honorary pallbearers will be Satilla Hospice of Waycross and all others in attendance.
