Connie Jane Garland, age 57, of Alma, died Saturday, February 18 ^th , in the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness.

She was a native of Dallas, Texas and had been living in Alma for several years. She was the daughter of Terry and Pat Mahone Bennett of Baxley and also survived by her son Corey Martinez of Libby, Montana, daughter Brittany Martinez of Tyler, Tx., brother Paul J. Bennett of Dublin, Ga., sister Kim Lewis (Randy) of Alma, grandchildren Abigail Paredes, Cody Martinez, Julian Garza, Clara Garza, James Martinez, and Christopher Martinez.

She is preceded in death by her son Scotty Chase Martinez.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, February 22 ^nd at 11 A.M., at Southside Church of God in Alma, with Rev. David Deen officiating. The family will receive guest at the church from 10-11 A.M.
