Connie Carver Nipper, age 60, of Alma passed away October 4, 2022 at Jeff Davis Hospital after an extended illness. She was daughter of the late Leroy Carver and Virginia McHenry Carver.  Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Susan Cato.

Survivors include her son, James Hardwick and wife Rosalie of Alma; three grandchildren, James Hardwick, Jr., Justin Hardwick and Jenna Keown; four brothers, Thomas "Tom" Carver and wife Renee, Rev. Mark Carver and wife Jennifer and Bo Carver of Alma and Timmy Carver and wife Teresa of Westgreen; two sisters, Ann Carver of Alma and Amy Lee Thurman of Douglas; special aunt, Juanelle Carver and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Liberty Church of God with Rev. Pet Hayes and Tommy Carver officiating. Interment will follow in Mims Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Saturday at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time.

In lieu of flowers the family would be accepting donations towards the burial as she had no life insurance.

Active pallbearers will be; Jerald Anderson, Joe Boatright, Andre Brinson and Bernard Cook. Honorary pallbearers will be; Marsha Starling, Lucy Green, Mary Turner, Debra Hyers, Angel Crosby, Lori and Summer Smith.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
