Connie Carol Walls, age 64, of Hazlehurst passed away on May 31, 2021 at Community Hospice in Vidalia after an extended illness. She was born in Bacon County on April 19, 1957 to Marvin Tanner, Sr. and Thirsie Gladys Richardson Tanner.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Eugene Tanner, Warren Tanner, Lonnie Tanner, Ronnie Tanner and Marvin Tanner, Jr. and sister, Gladys Boatright Lee. Survivors include her husband Kendall R. Walls of Hazlehurst; two daughters, Amelia Kay Wynn of Hazlehurst and Dedria Colter (Freddie) of Patterson; two step children, Jeremy Walls (Rachel) of Ohio and Kendra Reinhart (Paul) of North Carolina; brother, Donnie Ray Tanner; sister, Faye Cothern of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, Harleigh Rentz, Ryleigh Colter, Tanner and Ava Grace Wynn and three step grandchildren, Micknley, Victoria and Chloe.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 3, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Colter and Rev. Jerry Herndon officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf Pit Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Cory Tanner, Chris Tanner, Trevor Rentz, John Walls, Seth Jarrard and Will Moseley. Honorary pallbearers will be; Amedisys Home Health Vidalia and all others in attendance.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
