Obituary

D. C. Taylor, age 76, of Alma passed away Saturday, September 15th at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Coffee County but had lived most of his life in Bacon County. D. C. was son of the late Earnest Taylor and Della Holton Taylor and was preceded in death by a brother, L. C. Taylor. He was a member of Wesley Chapel Southern Congregational Methodist Church (Wolf Pit).

Survivors include his wife of fifty- five years, Betty Johnson Taylor of Nicholls, two sons, Denny Carol Taylor (Cathy) of Alma and Leon Taylor (Terri) of Nicholls, a daughter, Cindy Rennee' Turner (Danny) of Nicholls, one sister, Lucille White (Johnny) of Fernandina Beach, FL, four grandchildren, Kristen Bland, Colby Turner, Caroline & Emma Taylor and one great granddaughter, Lily Smith.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 18th at 11:00 AM at Wesley Chapel Southern Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. T. F. Yawn and Rev. Jason Hayes officiating and a personal eulogy will be given by Rev. Danny Turner. Interment will follow in Wolf Pit Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday from 6 to 9 PM. Donations may be made to the Bacon County Hospital Foundation.

Active pallbearers will be; Freddy Taylor, Carl Taylor, Bud Deen, John Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be; Pat Rigby & Debbie Davis of Satilla Hospice, Dr. Clay Carter, Pat Lott, Men's Fellowship/ Sunday School Class, Jamie King and Lamar's Pharmacy Staff.
