Dale Garth Godwin, Sr., age 56, of Waycross passed away Wednesday, September 7th at Mayo Clinic in Waycross. He was son of the late Alex Godwin and Jessie Mae Stewart Godwin and preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Godwin and a sister, Evelyn Harris.

Survivors include his wife Billie Sue Godwin of Waycross, a son, Dale Godwin, Jr. of Minot, ND., one daughter, Heather Renee Prather (Robert Jason) of Homerville, Ga., three brothers, Jerry Godwin (Linda) of Jacksonville, FL., Phillip Godwin of Nahunta, GA. and Charles David Godwin of Jacksonville, FL., six sisters, Shirley Medders of Reidsville, GA., Wanda Anderson, Betty Jean Hughes, Jessie Lee Medders, Karen Story and Kathy Thrift (Charles) all of Alma; also three grandchildren, Nicholas Greenlee, Candace Renee Lane and Brittany Nicole Lieupo.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 11th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. David Inman officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Storm Griffis, Ricky Griffis, Darryl Ray Griffis, Derrick Smith, Nicholas Greenlee, Shane Burkett, Roger Anderson and Little Jo. Honorary pallbearers will be; Timmy Cox and Scotty Corbitt.
