Dan Richard "D.R." Graves, age 76, of Alma passed away Thursday Sept.14 ^th at Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fl. after a short illness. Dan was a native of Bacon Co., a member of the Alma First Church of the Nazarene, a 2016 inductee into the International Lineman Hall of Fame, and the son of the late O.C. Graves and Odie Peacock Harper. A sister Everly Fowler also precedes him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years Mary Tanner Graves, two sons Tim Graves (Stacie) and Ryan Graves (Tracy), three grandchildren Garret, Gracie, and A.J. Graves, and a sister Suzie Waters (Russell) all of Alma.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2 PM in Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Lang Ingram and Rev. Walter Mingledorff officiating. Internment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. Active pallbearers include Scott Mikell, Shane Moore, Richie Taylor, Jay Graham, Rob Bennett, and Joel Williams. Honorary pallbearers, include Henry Jarrad, Jimmy Adams, Jerry Boatright, Ronald Boatright, Bently Carter, Mike Overstreet, the Men with a Vision Sunday School Class, and all others in attendance.

The family will be receiving friends Sunday night from 6-9 PM at Crosby Funeral Home
