Michael Dane Boatright, age 54, of Alma died early Saturday morning June 2, 2018 at his home after an extended illness.  He was native of Bacon County and son of the late Major Thomas (Bootsie) Boatright.  Dane worked with Fleetwood Mobile Homes for nine years before going to Pike where he retired after 20 years of employment.  He was also a volunteer fireman for many years with the Ware District Fire Department and was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 12 years Connie A. Mancil Boatright of Alma, his mother Judy Yawn Boatright Blanton (Larry) of Alma, his step mother Juanita Boatright of Blackshear, a step son Allen Thompson (Kristie) of Nicholls, two sisters Dana Carter (Tony) of Alma, Kristi Barnes (Robby) of Baxley and one grandchild Bryson Allen Thompson of Nicholls.  Also, several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 5 ^th at 11:00 AM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk, Rev. Mike Lee and Rev. Trent Boatright officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The body will be carried to the church at 10:00 A M.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6 and 9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be Jason Lee, Tim Johnson, Mitch Sears, Ron Lee, Marty Brigman and Jeremy Knight.  All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
