Daniel Eugene Lee, age 74, of Alma passed away Monday, May 12th at his residence after an extended illness. Daniel was a native of Bacon County but had lived in Fernandina Beach, Florida for 42 years before moving back to Alma 11 years ago. He was son of the late Thurmon Wallace Lee (T.W.) and Rella Sue Andrews Lee.
He retired from ITT Rayonier after 42 years of employment, a member of First Baptist Church of Fernandina and had served in the U S Army.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Mae Moore Lee of Alma, three sons, Cody Eugene Lee (Terri Lynn) of Yulee, FL, Ashley Shawn Lee of Alma, Daniel Fletcher Lee of Yulee, a daughter, Erika Dawn Lee Hamer of Fernandina Beach, FL, two brothers, James Hubert Lee and Gilbert Wilson Lee both of Fernandina Beach, three sisters, Christine Kerckel, Merlene Lee both of Gainesville, FL and Janice Tyre of Alma, five grandchildren also survive.

Memorial services will be held Saturday May 17th at 2:00 o'clock from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Andrews officiating. A eulogy will be delivered by Robbie Lee. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 P M till funeral time.
