David Wayne Winchester, age 48, of Alma passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Tampa, Florida on December 1969. One brother, James Miller, Jr., a sister and brother in-law, Bonnie and Jerry McPherson preceded him in death. David graduated from the Pierce County High School in 1991, was an avid fisherman and was a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother, Ethel Pyle, his wife of 25 years, Waunee Chancey Winchester, two sons, Matthew Winchester and Petty Officer 3 ^rd Class David Winchester II, EMN3 all of Alma and one brother, James Gary Miller, Sr. of Stockton, GA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6 ^th at 10:00 AM at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Thomas Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Eddie Head, Duane Head, Jerry Davis, Jay Davis, Aldeen Davis and Bill Griffin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Beulah Baptist Church and all others in attendance.
