Debra Ann Smith Padgett, age 68, passed away suddenly at her home April 4, 2026. She was born in Bacon County November 20,1957, to the late Vernon Smith, Sr and Freida Carter Smith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sons, John Reilly and Lawrence Starkey; and her sister, Pam Smith.

She is survived by her daughters, Euniss Grant of Alma and Amanda Reilly of Alma; brothers, Vernon Smith, Jr of Alma, Bruce Smith (Annette), and Billy Smith (Sandra), both of Dublin; sister, Julianne Jewell (Scott) of Alma; special friend, Thomas Sanchez; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren also survive.

A celebration of life will be held Friday April 10, 2026, at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church at 5 PM with Rev. Steve Hughes officiating.
