Debra Cady Waters, age 55, of Alma passed away Sunday, October 28th at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was a native of Ware County but had lived most of her life in Bacon County. Debra was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Waters and a brother Albert Cady, Jr. She was a member of The Church of Christ.
Survivors include her parents, Albert E. Cady, Sr. and Vannie Dubose Cady of Waycross, four sons, Russell Waters (Jamie) of Alma, Troy Waters (Megan) of Waycross, Wayne Waters (Chrisie) of Baxley & Jimmy Waters, Jr. (Tara) of Orange Park, FL. two daughters, Wendy Waters & Tracy Belk of Douglas, two brothers, John & Michael Cady of Waycross, three sisters, Freda Byrd, Carolyn Heaton & Marie Davis of Waycross also twenty grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 2nd at 2:00 PM from the Church of Christ with Bro. Danny Turner officiating. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening between 6 and 8 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; James Taylor, Shon Jordan, Robert Shuemake, Kyle Ivey, Terry McCall and Rodney Barnard. All grandchildren will serve as honorary escorts.
