Deloris Johnson Wicker, age 77, of Alma passed away on Tuesday, June 25th at the Hospice House in Waycross after a short illness. She was a native of Pierce County but had lived most of her life in Bacon County. Deloris was daughter of the late Omar C. Davis and Wynell Tuten Davis and was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerrell Johnson. Deloris retired from the Bacon County A S C S office after 41 years of employment, worked several years in the Bacon County Commissioners office and with Stetson Builders of Waycross for several years. She was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church

Survivors include her husband Aaron Wicker of Jeffersonville, KY, a son, Jeffery Johnson of Jesup, a daughter, Melanie Taylor of Alma, two step daughters, Melanie Wicker in the US Army and Scarlet Catron of Jeffersonville, KY., two brothers, Whitmer Davis (Shelby Jean) of Alma Ronnie Davis (Ellen) of Blackshear, two sisters, June Smart (Brownie) of Alma, Carol Hersey (Buddy) of Waycross, two grandchildren, Chastin Altman and Duncan Taylor of Alma, one step grandson, Jeremy Wade Phillips (Jacquelyn) of Mt. Sterling, KY., two great-grandchildren, Talan Altman and Ashlan Weldon of Alma, also three step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 28th at 11:00 AM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Loren Bryant and Rev. Bryant Bishop officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 10:00 AM to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening between the hours of 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Bill Johnson, Eugene Dyal, Jerald Douglas, Mike Lee, Eddie Head and Denny Moore. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
