Denise Amber Peacock, age 71, of Alma passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2021. Born on August 31, 1950 in Weehawken, New Jersey to Stanley Charles Genevitch and Lillian Marie Keller, Denise had lived most of her life in Bacon County and was a member of First Baptist Church of Alma, GA. While she worked for many years in the insurance industry, Denise was very active in her community, serving as a substitute teacher, a Meals-On-Wheels driver, and a Mom's Morning Out worker. For many years, she sang in FBC's sanctuary choir.

She is survived by two sons, Daniel Joseph Opp and fiancé Melissa of Waycross, Jonathan David Peacock and wife Catherine of Dublin, and three grandchildren, Cannon Opp of Alma, Lillian Opp of Broxton and Navi Opp of Nicholls.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Alma with Rev. Pet Hayes and Dr. Cliff Morris officiating.  Interment will follow at New Hope Church Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12PM to 2PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Jubal Ministries at jubalministries.org . Denise had been a longtime supporter of this ministry.
