Derrick R. Martin, age 54, of Nicholls passed away on October 7, 2021 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. Native of Bacon County and son of the late James T. Martin.  He served in the US Airforce; was employed with CDM Smith, Inc. and was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kristyn Marie Engle Martin of Nicholls; mother, Katherine Rowland Martin of Nicholls and two brothers, Christopher Martin of Jacksonville, FL. and James Terrell Martin of Alma.

Graveside services will be held Monday, October 11, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Pine Lawn Cemetery with Rev. Greg Delk officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
