Obituary

Destiny Leigh Shumans, age 30, went to her heavenly home on December 10, 2025, at Memorial Health in Savannah, GA, after a short illness. She was born on March 1, 1995, to Christi Davis and Adam Hall.  She is preceded in death by her niece, Charlotte Sinclair Davis; paternal grandfather, Ronnie Hall; paternal grandparents, Henrietta Freeburn, Red and Norma Herring.

She is survived by her parents, Christi and Jacob Davis; her father, Adam Hall; her daughters Sawyer, Raeleigh, and Addison Shumans; brother, Payton Davis (Britney); sisters, Katelene and Ellie Grace Davis; grandparents, Hal Lane (Sandra), Perry Davis (Arlene), and David Chace (Laurie); great-grandmother Dolores Braddock; cousins, Madison Rainey, Conner and Brylie Lane.

A graduate of Appling County High School's Class of 2013, Destiny later earned her cosmetology degree and stepped right into the work she loved. On June 14, 2025, she opened her own salon—her dream come true. To Destiny, doing hair was never just a job. It was her ministry. Her salon chair became a place where stories were told, tears were comforted, laughter was shared, and women were reminded of their beauty and worth. She used her gift not only to transform appearances but to touch hearts.

Destiny had a laugh that was unforgettable—bright, contagious, and able to make the darkest of days a little brighter. When she laughed, it filled the entire room and drew everyone in with it. She had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. She lived with a lightness that made even the ordinary, simple moments feel so special.

Her greatest joy and purpose in life were her three girls. They were her heart, her motivation, and her world. Destiny worked tirelessly for them, dreaming big dreams with their future in mind. Everything she did, she did with love for them in her heart. They were her pride, her laughter, and her reason for every long day and every brave step she took.

Destiny carried so much for so many, often without letting anyone know. She gave selflessly—her time, her strength, her kindness, and her love, and never expected anything in return. She had the ability to make others feel cherished, valued, and cared for. Those who knew her were blessed by her generosity and the gentle grace she lived with each day.

To her family and closest friends, Destiny was a source of comfort, laughter, and endless love. She was someone you could lean on, someone who listened without judgment, someone who showed up—always. Losing her leaves a space that cannot be filled, but the memories she leaves behind are ones that will be carried forever: her joy, her laughter, her love, and the way she made life brighter just by being in it.

Destiny grew into a woman whose presence was felt long before she entered a room and whose absence will be felt long after. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to show through the lives of all who knew her. She will be missed every single day, and she will be remembered with full hearts, grateful for the time we were given with her.
