Dewey A. Garner, Jr., age 66, of Mershon passed away Wednesday, October 19th from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was a native of Portsmouth, VA. but had lived in Merson, GA. for many years. He was son of the late Dewey A. Garner, Sr. and Nettie Irene York Garner and preceded in death by his a daughter, Melissa Garner and a sister, Trish Singleton.

Survivors include his wife, Gaynell Thompson Garner, three sons, Mark Garner (Jessica) and Eddie Garner all of Merson and Doug Garner (Mary) of Port St. Lucie, FL., one daughter, Susie Williams of Alma, three brothers, Mike Garner (Sandy) of Brookesville, FL., Paul Garner (Cassie) of Odum, GA. and Edward Garner (Bobbie) of Tampa, FL., two sisters, Carolyn Berry of Alma and Sharon Albritton of Baxley; also 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 22nd at 2:00 PM at Roxie Mae Cemetery with Rev. R. B. Gaskins officiating.
