Obituary
Dixie Nell Johnson Brewster, age 83, of Blackshear, Georgia passed away at her residence after a short illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late James Randall Johnson and Daisy Lee Johnson. Her husband Charlie L. Brewster, three brothers, Jerrell, Vernon and Lamar Johnson and two sisters, Latrell "Sis" Yawn and Mary Ford preceded Dixie in death.
Survivors include her son, Derek Brewster (Kalisha) of Blackshear, GA., stepson, Bill Brewster (Karen) of Monroe, GA., one brother, Grooms Johnson (Theda) of Hartwell, GA.; also 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 29th at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Lee and Jerald Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Lee's Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Clay Carter, Tim Johnson, Austin Brewster, Marty Brigman and Michael Frawley. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
