Donald "Don" Morrison, age 90, of Alma passed away Monday, July 23, 2018 at Baptist Village after an extended illness. He was born on August 20, 1927 in Wentworth, New Hampshire to the late William "Bill" Morrison and Hazel Whitney Morrison. His wife Dorothy Nell Nipper Morrison, a son, Donald Loyd Morrison, brother, Arthur Morrison and two sisters, Diane Morrison and Joan Ames preceded him in death.

He served in the US Army during WWII and the Korean Conflict and served in the 82 Airborne Division and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include two sons, Michael L. Morrison (Lisa) of Alma and Robert Morrison (Teresa) of Lyons, GA., five stepchildren, Steve Trowell of Valdosta, Billy Trowell (Vickie) of Alma, David Trowell (Cindy) of Waycross, Glenda Ellis of Valdosta and Ginger Lynch (Glenn) of Alma, one sister, Wilma Morrison of Winston Salem, North Carolina, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 26 ^th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Tony Nipper, Brandon Lee, Andy Hutto, Glenn Newberry, Michael Deen and Glynn Lynch. Honorary pallbearers will be; The American Legion Post 69.
