Donald Reeves, age 68, of Blackshear passed away January 14, 2024 at Harborview Health Systems after a short illness. He was born February 24, 1955 in Appling County to the late Barto Reeves and Mazie Harper Ellis.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Opal Geneva Skinner Reeves, grandson, Heath Reeves and two brothers, Kenneth and Willie Reeves.

Survivors include his son, Donald Reeves, Jr. and wife Regina of Blackshear; four grandchildren, Gage Hickox (Rebecca), Dillion Reeves, Wesley Reeves and Lilly Reeves; one great-grandson, Colton Hickox; two brothers, Jimmy Reeves and Wayne Reeves and sister, Mary Durance (Tony).

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Unity Baptist Church Cemetery with Bishop R. B. Gaskins officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
