Donald Curtis (Donny Booger) Rigdon, age 54, of Nicholls, GA died at his home Monday Sept. 26st, 2016 after a short illness. He was born in St. Petersburg, FL but had lived in Nicholls most of his life. He was preceded in death by his father Curtis Rigdon. Donny was a foreman with Pike Electric where he had been employed for 30 years and a member of Pine View Church of God in West Green.

Survivors include his wife Lynn Mobley Rigdon of Nicholls, his mother Merle Kirkland Thomas of Nicholls, four sons Brent Rigdon (Hollie) of Duluth, GA, Cameron Rigdon of Nicholls, Bud Morris (Crystal) of Auburn, AL, Travis Davis of Alma, a daughter Mandy Courson (Eddie) of Douglas and five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 o'clock at the First Assembly of God in Douglas with Rev. Craig Jump and Rev. Marshall Adcock officiating. Interment will follow in Wilcox Cemetery in Coffee County. The body will be carried to the church Thursday at 10:00 AM to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Ronnie Shoemake, Dairel Streetman, B J Parkerson, David McReady, Mark Harkins and David Hutchinson. The grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers as well as Howard and Ronda Henderson, Stevie Tomberlin, Mike Kirkland, Renee Murray, Mike Carter and Jerry Kirkland.
