Dorie Lanette Brown, age 56, of Alma died Monday September 2nd, 2013 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah after an extended illness. She was a native of Marlette Michigan but had lived in Alma since 1989. She was daughter of the late Donald L. Fritz, Sr. and was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Tim Brown of Alma a son, Shawn Sidney Brown of Alma, a daughter, Samantha Villarreal and husband John of Cedar Park, TX, her mother, Dorothy Jeanette Zorn Fritz of Alma, three brothers Donald Fritz, Jr. of Duluth, GA, Jody Scott Fritz of Port Charlotte, FL, David B. Fritz of Daytona Beach, FL, five grandchildren, Monica, Sarah, Elizabeth, Jenny and Isabella Villarreal all of Cedar Park, TX.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Bryant Bishop officiating, a eulogy by Eddie Jones. The body will be carried to the church Friday at 1:00 P M to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening between 6 and 9PM.

Active pallbearers will, Donald Fritz, Jr, Jody Scott Fritz, David B. Fritz, Chris Zorn, John B. Villarreal and Josh Brown.
