Doris Evelyn Johnson Bowers, age 87, of Alma passed away on March 3, 2021 at her residence after a short illness. She was born in Pearson, Georgia on February 14, 1934 to Archie Johnson and Gladis Carver Bowen.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Daniel Bowers, Jr.; son, Russell Wayne Bowers and a daughter, Janice Faye Rupert. Survivors include four children, Gary Johnson of Georgia, Patricia Lunn (Ronnie) of Jacksonville, FL., Denise Parker (Butch) of Johnstown, PA. and Stephanie Bowers of Alma; one brother, Larry Johnson (Joyce); one sister, Carolyn Burch of Pearson, GA.; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
