Doris Lorene Taylor Lewis, age 92, passed away May 25, 2026, at Vista Park in Douglas, GA after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County born on July 08, 1933, to the late Huey Taylor and Arillia Knowles Taylor. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Warnie Lewis; sons, Brookie and Jamie Lewis; granddaughter, Tanya Diane Mullis; brother, Benny Taylor; and sister, Diane Floyd.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Ann Ellis (Michael) and JoEllen Mullis (Jeffery), both of Alma; daughter-in-law, Annette Lewis; niece, Hulene Hardenbrook (Tony) of Waycross; seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 27, 2026, in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home at 2 PM with the Rev. David Davis officiating. A private interment will be held at Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 1 PM until service time.
