Dorothy Hayes Davis, age 76, of Alma passed away in the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness Monday morning July 15th, 2013 She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Willie Hayes and Lizzie Thomas Hayes and was preceded in death by her husband, E.J. Davis and a grand son, Tony Herrington. Dorothy worked with Oxford of Alma for many years and was a member of the Southside Church of God.

Survivors include two sons, Ricky Davis, Jeff Davis (Melanie) of Nicholls, two daughters, Sue Herrington of Nicholls and Dianne Smith of Alma, 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grand child survive.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 17th at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Jo Rigdon and Rev. Troy Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Mims Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; David and Danny Taylor, Todd Herrington, Kyle and Josh Davis and Jeffery Morgan. Honorary will be residents and employee's of Twin Oaks will serve as honorary.
