Douglas F. Flowers, age 80, of Mershon passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Ascension St. Vincent's Hospital in Middleburg, Florida. He was a native of Wayne County and son of the late Norwood Joshua Flowers and Clara Ceiley George Flowers. Mr. Flowers attended Southside Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Flowers and three sisters, Virginia Parr, Sarah Coley and Glenda Carter. Survivors include five children, Douglas Wade Flowers of Birmingham, AL., Debra Stanbrough of Mershon, Peggy Layport (Calvin), Cathy Cain (Todd) of Alma and Lisa Parker of Baxley; two brothers, Carson Flowers (Juan) of Jesup and Paul Flowers (Margie) of St.Simons Island, one sister, Betty Landon of Jesup; 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 18 ^th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Carver officiating. Interment will follow in Carter's Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Big John Layport, Kao Kadri, Stanley Layport, Robert Layport, Douglas Layport and Todd Cain. Honorary pallbearers will be; Calvin Layport, Dale Carter, Anna Rinaldi and Jimmy Brown.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
