Obituary

Drayden Ashley Sears, age 24, of Alma passed away suddenly Wednesday morning September 16, 2015. He was a native of Coffee County but had lived most of his life in Alma. Drayden was son of the late Rodney Errol Sears and preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Sue Sears, a nephew, Abram Wilson-Puccio, and his maternal great-grandfather, Pete Barrineau. He was a farmer and a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church.

Survivors include his mother and father, Carla Elizabeth Burkhalter Wilson and Rodney Wilson of Alma, fiancé, Jodi Elizabeth Dixon of Alma, two sisters, Darian Sears and Kelli Altman (Garrett) of Alma, three brothers, Taylor Wilson, Weslee Wilson and Jeremy Taylor (Heidi) all of Alma, paternal grandparents, Dailey and Sandra Wilson of Alma, Errol Sears of Douglas, maternal grandparents, Cynthia Pridgen of Douglas and Bryon Medders of Sylvester, Ga., maternal great- grandmother, Jane Barrineau of Douglas and five nieces GrayLynn, AnnaLee and LizRae Altman, Charley and Scarlett Taylor of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 24th at 2:00 PM at New Vision Church with Rev. Brian Tyre and Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Ten Mile Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Grant Jordan, Jeremy Taylor, Adam Deen, Chip Lee, Cam Smith, Will Chancey, Klent Rewis and McKenzie Crosby. Honorary pallbearers will; Class of 2010, Jordan Sweat, Carroll and Kyle Rewis, Brian Boatright and Tim Carter.
