May 2, 1948 – May 23, 2025
Dywane Quitman Holton, age 77, passed away May 23, 2025, after an extended illness. Born May 2, 1948, to the late Theodore Lafayette Holton and Thelma White Holton. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son Dywane Q. Holton, Jr; brother J.B. Holton and an infant brother; five sisters Colleen Yawn, Lela Carter, Kay Bodie, Sadie Holton, and Carolyn Holton.
He is survived by one stepson, Jamie Brown; one brother, Tom Holton (Geraldine); one brother-in-law, John Bodie, Sr.; three nieces, Wanette Carter, Tina Lightsey, Diane Gillespie; seven nephews, Mac Carter, Tommy Holton, Danny Holton, David, John, and Charles Bodie, Lee and Brandon Yawn, along with several other nieces and nephews.
He was a retired truck driver and a member of Shiloh House of Prayer. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 2 PM in the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Daniels, Rev. Darrell Smith and Rev. Hinnon Smith officiating. Family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12 PM until service time. Interment will follow at Holton Church Cemetery with military honors.
Honorary pallbearers will be Malon Wilkinson and members of the Bacon County VFW.
