Earl S. Bagley, Sr., age 85, of Fitzgerald passed away suddenly May 15, 2024 at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon.  He was born July 25, 1938 in Bacon County to the late Warnie B. Bagley and Lella Padgett Bagley.

Mr. Earl was retired from the United State Coast Guard after 20 years of service. His repair service, Earl's Auto Repair, served Ocilla from 1979 until 2020 after the passing of his son Earl Bagley Jr. He was a member of the Ocilla Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Dennie Nell Barber Bagley; son, Earl S. Bagley, Jr; brother, Walton Bagley. Survivors include two children, Terry David Bagley of Ocilla and Sandra "Sandy" Sue Moss (Wayne) of McDonough; two sisters, Ruth Hendrix of Bushell, FL. and Lataine Beauregard of Alma; four grandchildren, Derik Humble, Wesley Reeves, Katie Gatrell and Haley Bagley and two great-grandchildren, Conner Durham and Emmitt Reeves.

Funeral services will be held Saturday (May 18, 2024) at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Hodge officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from Saturday from 12:00 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Eddie Music, Daniel Music, David Music, Roy Music, Derik Humble and Wesley Reeves. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
