Earl G. Greer, age 77 of Nicholls died Saturday October 31st, 2015 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Ocilla, GA but had lived in Nicholls most of his life. He was son of the late Albert Watson Greer and Melissa Beulah Pate Greet and was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Bobby, William and A J Greer, 5 sisters Mary Alice Greer, Jewell Dyal, Edna Cox, Gladys Hersey and Zelma Windsor. Earl worked as a mechanic for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years Janice Anderson Greer of Nicholls, a son Jeffery Greer (Betty) of Douglas, a brother Talmadge Greer of Waycross, 3 grandchildren Marley and Tyler Greer of Nicholls and Vince Greer of Douglas.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Campbell and Rev. Nathan Greer officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery in Ware County. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday evening between 6 and 9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be Fred Anderson, Ricky Carter, Vince Greer, James Hersey, Ricky Pinson and Ardell Boatright. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
