Earl Taylor, age 75, passed suddenly at his residence Saturday, April 3, 2021 after an extended illness. Mr. Earl was born in Jeff Davis County on September 9, 1945 to Council Taylor and Birdie Herrington Taylor.

Mr. Earl was retired from D.L & Lee and Sons and was a member of Southside Church of God.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elmer and Roy Taylor and sister, Cleo Hayes. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Miriam Leggett Taylor; two sons, Steven Taylor an Stacey Taylor of Alma; one brother, Carroll Taylor (special friend Denise); brother-in-law, Donnie Leggett (Lavone); sister-in-law, Martha Jones of Hazlehurst and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Southside Church of God with Rev. Mark Carver and Rev. David Deen officiating.  Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Shawn Giddens, Tom Carver, Pete Rewis, Lance Carter, Terry Medders and Luke Harrell. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
