Edward Boatright, age 83, of Alma passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at Memorial Hospital in Savannah after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Lawton D. Boatright and Lottie Thornton Boatright. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Fred Boatright, Gene Boatright and sister, Judy Boatright.

Mr. Boatright served in the US Air Force and was Owner and Operator of Jacksonville Fire Equipment.

Survivors include his close companion, Wanda Whitley, two sons, Danny Boatright (Brandi) and Chuck Boatright of Jacksonville, FL; two sisters, June Strickland of Blackshear and LaFaye Cravey of Jacksonville, FL.; 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
