Elgene Boatright Lee, age 74, of Brunswick died late Wednesday November 28th, 2012 at her home. She was a native of Bacon County but had lived in Brunswick since 1963. She was daughter of the late Hubert B. Boatright and Anna Bell Steedley Boatright and was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Wendell, Royce and Huelon Boatright, 2 sisters, Melba Dixon and Beverly Boatright, father and mother-in-law, Roscoe and Lottie Lee. Elgene and her husband Gary were owner and operators of Gary Lee's Market in Brunswick for many years.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Gary A. Lee, Sr. of Brunswick, 2 sons, Gary A. Lee, Jr. (Cathy) and Nicky G. Lee (Lori) of Brunswick, a daughter, Delena Lee Stanton (Pat) of Brunswick, a brother, Winston Boatright (Jeannie) of Brunswick, 4 sisters, Thelma Carter, Joyce Rowland (Chuck), Jenny Taylor all of Alma and Eulene Smith of Brunswick. Also 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at Wesley Chapel Church on Highway 203 with Rev. Jimmy Thrift officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 P M to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening between 6 and 9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Josh Berrie, Devon and Pat Stanton, Colby, Corey, Garrett and Alex Lee. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
