Eli Spiro Ditchkoff, age 72, of Alma passed away at Coffee Regional Medical Center on December 31, 2017 after a short illness. He was born in Wayne County, Michigan on November 23, 1945 to the late Spiro Michael Ditchkoff and Lula Mae Savage Ditchkoff. He was retired from the Marine Corp after serving 3 tours in Vietnam, former President of the Drill Instruction Assocation and worked with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Diane J. Ditchkoff of Alma, three daughters, Laura A. Ditchkoff of Alma, Denita J. Torres of Virginia and Angela R. Ditchkoff Greer (Jerry) of Jacksonville, FL., three brothers Gerald Ditchkoff of Alabama, Stephen Ditchkoff (Marilynn) of Ocala, FL. and Carl Ditchkoff (Marilyn) of Michigan, two sisters, Gloria Kewak of Florida and Georgia Ditchkoff of Arizona; also six grandchildren, Samuel Michael Ditchkoff, Tristan J. Ditchkoff, Sarah Elizabeth Conrad, Christopher Harris, Brandon Harris and James Greer.

A private memorial will be held at the National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida.
