Elisha Anderson, Jr., age 59, of Nicholls passed away December 25th in the Coffee Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. He was a native of Coffee County; son of the late Elisha Anderson, Sr. and Miram Douglas Anderson and preceded in death by a son, Timothy Anderson, sister, Cora Lee Anderson and three brothers, Henry, George and Bobby Lee Anderson. He was a truck driver and served in the US Army.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Martha " Becky" Hester Anderson, two daughters, Melissa Harper (Ramon) of Nicholls and Tanya Spivey (Dewayne) of Alma, two brothers, J. D. Anderson of Nicholls and Alex Anderson of Waycross, two sisters, Rosa Lee Leggett of Baxley and Janice Greer of Nicholls, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3:00 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. John Carver and Rev. Johnny Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Family Cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 2:00 PM to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be grandchildren; Cameron Smith, Dylan Anderson, Vince Greer, Christopher Jewell, Dewayne Thomas and Clayton Taylor. Great-grandsons will serve honorary pallbearers; Kolten & Kamden Tanner, Timothy Jewell, Aiden Altman, Amy & Tiffany Anderson and Zachary Kirkland.
