IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Eliza Ell
Ellis
October 5, 1930 – July 28, 2018
Eliza Ell Taylor Ellis, 87-years old, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home in the Taylor Town Community of Alma, Ga. Eliza was on October 5, 1930 in Bacon County, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her parents; Jimmy Estell and Alma McDonald Taylor, two sisters; Cristine Taylor, Eula Jean Taylor, and two brothers, Ken Taylor and Randall LeRoy Taylor.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Lee Ellis of 69 years, one son; Kenny Ellis, and one daughter; Joan Ellis, three sisters: Mary Elizabeth Lewis, Crissie Lee Jarrard and Marie Barefoot (Joe), two brothers: Jerry D. Taylor (Glenda) and Virgil Taylor (Mildred), one grandson, Brian Mitchell Ellis, one granddaughter, Pearlie Ellis, three great-grandchildren: Hunter Ellis and Haeley and Will Kelly; extended family, sisters and spouses; Shirley Beverly, Betty Bennett, Rhonda Taylor, Janice and Bob McCraw, Vernell and Johnny Manders, and Sherry and John Humphries. She was a member of New Vision Congregational Methodist Church.
She was dedicated to her husband of 69 years, Willie Lee Ellis; they brought up their children; Kenny and Joan to love the Lord with all their heart and dedicate them to God for full-time Christian service. She was always proud to tell her friends that her son was a minister, and her daughter a missionary. She always encouraged them to obey God's call on their lives. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years and served her church as a deaconess. Eliza's love for her Lord and example on how a Christian should be and live will never be forgotten.
Although dementia took her into a live of confusion and uncertainty, she was never confused nor uncertain about her love for her family and her God. Even in her last un-conscious and semi-conscious days she would express her love in a very weak voice of praises to God. She even tried to sing old hymns. Eliza surely heard God say welcome home my child.
