Eloise Aldridge, age 90, of Patterson formerly of Alma died suddenly Friday in Patterson. She was a native of Appling County, daughter of the late Forrest Kennon Miles and Ella Crosby Miles and was also preceded in death by her husband William Daniel (Bill) Aldridge, three brothers Hymon, Herbert and Junior Miles, three sisters Dorothy Bullard, Geraldine Graham and Lorrine Harper. Eloise and husband Bill was owner and operator of Western Auto Store in Alma for 35 years. She was a member of the Patterson Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons William David Aldridge (Anne) of Darien, GA, Donald Stephen Aldridge (Lorrie) of Alma, a daughter Patricia Ann (Patty) Crews (Bobby) of Patterson, two grandchildren Lindsay Elizabeth Aldridge of Jacksonville Beach, FL and Jeanetta Crews of Patterson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 o'clock at the Patterson Baptist Church with Rev. R C James officiating. Interment will follow in Miles Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Appling County. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening between 6 and 9 P M. The body will be carried to the church Wednesday at 10:00 A M to lie in state.
Active pallbearers will be Dr. Errol Graham, Wayne Graham, Milton Miles, Danny Miles, Johnny Harper and Bobby Bullard. Honorary escort will be her Sunday School Class and Pink Ladies of the Bacon County Hospital.
