Eloise Cothren, age 68, of Alma passed away on April 17, 2022 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. She was born on May 31, 1953 in Bacon County to Purdie Jackson Cothren and Carrie Lou Mobley Cothren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Amerie Brook Terrell; three brothers, Howard, Tony and Leland Cothren and four sisters, Bonnie Taylor, Juanita Taylor, Yvonne Thompson and Latrell Cothren. She was a member of Victory Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Eric Dwight Wrinn (Josie), Jamie Thomas Wrinn and Robyn Carter (Randy); three brothers, James Cothren (Willene), Lamon Cothren and Albert Cothren (Audrea Faye); three sisters, Emelyn West, Freda Cooper and Marie Boatright (Ronnie); 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Victory Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Henderson and Rev. Preston Gibson. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday at the church from 1:00 PM until funeral time.Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Michael Taylor, Benji Moore, Scotty Boatright, Dalton Boatright, Hunter Toler, Randy Cothren, Tyler Barber and Ricky Thomas. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
