Eloise Tanner, age 84, of Alma passed away August 20,2024 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born February 8, 1940 in Coffee County. She was daughter of the late Harvey Taylor and Ollie Taylor. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert (Bobby) Tanner, Jr., sons, William Eric Rigdon and Barry Rigdon, brothers, Merlon Taylor, Jim Taylor, Cecil Tanner and Shorty Taylor and sisters, Rita Mae Johnson, Margaret Meeks, Eula Mae Meeks, Sarah Frances Taylor and Betty Jo Streat.

Mrs. Eloise was a member of Wesley Chapel "Wolf Pit" Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Margaret Elaine Daniels of Alma; grandchildren, Jessica Parkerson, Jeremy Smith, Samuel and Jacob Tanner, great-grandchildren, Alexis & Austin Parkerson, Madison, Troy, Jasmine and Conner Smith, Trevor Williams and Jillian Calfee, great-great-grandchildren, Emeri Bennett , McKinley Williams, father of her children, Wilbert Rigdon and three stepchildren, Ted Tanner, Jr., Larry Tanner and Teresa Tanner

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. T. F. Yawn and Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf Pit Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Shane Parkerson, Trevor Williams, Hunter Bennett, Austin Parkerson, Aaron Anderson and Troy Smith. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
