Emory Lee Epps, Sr., age 73, peacefully passed on to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving family the evening of April 2, 2018. Emory was born on September 23, 1944 in Bibb County. He and the love of his life, Mina, were married for 48 years.

Emory was a man of many talents. Retirement gave him time to spend with his friends and loved ones. He was an avid fisherman, a skilled hunter, and an excellent gardener; however, nothing gave him more pleasure than spending time with his grandchildren. He loved supporting them in their school activities. He taught them how to play the banjo, keyboard and guitar, and he always had time to have a tea party with his four-year-old granddaughter.
Emory is preceded in death by his father, Ira Epps, his mother, Miriam Sanders, and two brothers Sam Epps and Randy Sanders.

Survivors include his wife, Mina, his two sons, Emory Lee Epps, Jr. (Tiffani) of Douglasville, GA. and William (Bill) Douglas Epps (Crystal) of Alma, a sister, Karen Monroe (Larry) of Macon, GA. and four grandchildren, Emory Lee Epps III, Kinsey Epps of Austell, GA, Cheyenne Harper of Douglasville, GA and Eden Grace Epps of Alma, GA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Jimmy Miles officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 12:00 PM until funeral time.

A graveside service will be held Friday, April 6 ^th at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, GA. at 1:00 PM with Rev. Wayne Meadows officiating.
