Ervin Edward Johnson, age 74, of Alma passed away Monday, January 5th at his residence after and extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Lemul Sellers Johnson and Maggie Slaughter Johnson. Ervin was preceded in death by two brothers, Carroll and Walter Johnson and a sister, Doris Westberry.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carol S. Hamm Johnson of Alma, two daughters, Tara Thompson (late Scott) of Athens and Julie Sallett (Terrell) of Alma, two brothers, Darrell Johnson (Pat) of Barstow, CA., and Roy Johnson (Betty Jo) of Dawsonville, GA., three sisters, Lavada Cothren (J.L.) and Linda Boatright (Bobby) of Alma and Annie Johnson of Douglas and two grandchildren, Sarah Sallet and Lexi Thompson.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 7th at 1:30 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Devin Brandt officiating.
