Ethan Tyrie Hampton, age 23, passed away suddenly Wednesday, September 16th . He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, C.O. Hampton. Ethan was attending Coastal Pines in Waycross and would have been graduating in December as a Respiratory Therapist. He was a member of Emanuel Baptist Church in Blackshear but had been attending Ten Miles Baptist.

Survivors include his father, Emory Odell Hampton and wife Angela of Nicholls, his mother, Delama Wood Hampton of Alma, a sister, Heather Hampton of Alma, step brother, Brandon Todd of Waycross, paternal grandmother, Norma Clair Deen of Bickley, maternal grandparents, Carlton and Nell Wood of Alma and the love of his life, McKenzie Carter of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 26th at 3:00 PM at Ten Mile Baptist Church with Rev. Edmund Thrift, Rev. Jimmy Thrift, Rev. Mike Stone and a eulogy will be given by Faye Mathis. Interment will follow in the church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at Ten Mile Baptist Church Saturday from 1:00 PM to funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Koby Davis, Andrew Hayes, Dusty Wade, Michael McCarty, Corey Hatten, Maj Eason, Jordan Sweat and Will Chancey. Honorary pallbearers will be; Bacon County High School Class of 2010, Dr. Mathis, Mandy Lee and The Respiratory Therapist Class of Coastal Pines Waycross.
