Eugene E. Johnson, age 49, of Alma died suddenly Tuesday December 9th, 2014 after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County, son of the late Nadine Carter Johnson and was also preceded in death by a sister, Tessie Johnson. Eugene was a carpenter for many years.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Rhonda Snipes Johnson of Alma, his father Larry E. Johnson of Alma, a son Kristopher E. Johnson of Alma two daughters, Amanda and Tiffany Johnson of Alma, a sister, Heather Dudley (Erick) of Alma. Also four grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 o'clock at Wesley Chapel Southern Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Danny Turner and Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Wolfpit Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday evening between 6 and 9 P M. The body will be carried to the church Friday at 1:00 PM to lie in state.

Active pallbearers will be, Lee Taylor, Jason Nelson, Corey and Josh Hatten. Honorary will be, Tommy Smith, Erick Dudley, Logan Curl, Derrick Turner and all Gene's doctors.
